I was surprised by how much I liked this book. It's not as almost gratuitously violent as some of his other works (Blood Meridian, etc.), and the prose is beautiful at times. It's also a pretty short book; would reccomend.

“Blood Meridian is (rightfully) beloved. But the Border Trilogy, kicked off by All the Pretty Horses, is Cormac McCarthy’s crowning achievement, imo.”
