For The People: A Leftist Library Project

If there is any single newsletter or substack I urge people to pay attention to in their inbox, it's For The People: A Leftist Library Project. My childhood, teenage years, adulthood, and now my academic career has been supported and shaped by public libraries. Working in my MLIS (Master in Library Information Science), I'm made even more aware the amount of labor and love that goes into open & free information access - for the people, by the people. This substack provides insight to whats going on around the country, what's going on federally, breakdowns of misinformation, and easy ways for the public to take action. It doesn't hurt that the whole vibe of the substack feels so wonderfully librarian to me - well organized and also cute as hell.
