My creative interests typically end just before the craft of writing - there's something about weilding language that I prefer to leave up to the experts. But Lisa's substack - Human Stuff - is so much beyond the act of writing, but finding inspiration in writing and storytelling. Her new book, "When The Ache Remains", reminds me that there will be parts of me that will stay "unfixable", and there is somehow space to find beauty in life. Her thoughts on her world in CA feel like meditations, and her recommended reads at the end of every email help me feel less like an alien observing the literary world, and more like I've been invited inside with open arms.
