“Sahadi's (fair, the hummus is unbeatable) but also Damascus! Two doors down, it's the best pita on the block. Buy one or two Syrian cheeses in the cold section (twisted "string cheese" or a salty farmer's cheese), and ask for a bag of ka'ak -crackers- from behind the counter. Voila, an appetizer while your spooning hummus into bowls and warming up your mujadara from Sahadi's.”
