Reading minutes for gaming minutes

If you have a young ish kid who loves gaming but you would like them to read more

Set the game time on their switch or whatever platform they have to less than you would usually allow Say 30 minutes Then when the want longer they earn their minutes by reading pages from their book eg : one page = 1 minute more game time My 12 yo is currently reading his book in the middle of the day and enjoying it , which never usually happens It’s win win
