Private Pilates class at MTLPILATES: The most beautiful, sunlit space. I booked a semi-private class with my friend who’s a beginner and we both loved it. Won’t break the bank and a fun way to incorporate movement into your trip.

Olive + Gourmando: If you go to Old Montreal, this breakfast/lunch spot is a must-stop. Went twice for their soba noodle/tofu/peanut/fresh herb salad. They have a super cute boutique next door too!

Bar Saint Denis: The culinary highlight of my recent trip to Montreal. Personable, unpretentious, lovely staff, view of the kitchen, incredible dishes. Get the tomato labneh.

Bota Bota Spa-sur-l'eau (Montreal): My favorite thing to do when it’s -10 out is get deeply, irresponsibly stoned and go for a massage and water circuit. The contrast between the bracing Montreal cold and the sauna is invigorating!

Oka National Park Parc national d'Oka: This is about an hour outside of the city, but it’s a beautiful park! Has a great beach.

St. Viatur Bagels: Montreal: The very best bagels in the world are the ones my mom makes, boiled in potato water and sprinkled with carmelized onions, but Montreal's St. Viatur bagels run a close, close second (especially since Absolute in NYC is no more; I still dream of the egg bagel there). Compact, chewy, subtly sweet b/c they are boiled in honey-sweetened water, and transcendent warm. They are our house bagel (ordered by mail and kept stashed in the freezer).
