Even the Good Girls Will Cry

Analisa Burns

“A memoir about Melissa Auf der Maur growing up in the crazy ‘90s rock scene and playing in bands like Hole / Smashing Pumpkins. I'm not even into this music but the story is very introspective —mixing music, grief & womanhood”

“If you want to know what the alt rock music scene was like in the early 1990s, the bassist of Hole is your secret guide into the past. I'm listening to this audiobook right now (on libro.fm supporting my local bookstore).”

Annie Pontarelli

“Hearing the shift in Melissa’s voice while talking about her father’s death was heartbreaking. Also loved the bonus track talking about all the images in the book. Interesting to hear about the business of being in bands as well.”
