My work boots (Blundstone 500s) are retiring after over a decade of loyal service. What should I replace them with? Another pair of Blundstones or…?

Try filing a warranty claim with Blundstone!

I’ll start by saying that they have definitely updated their warranty policy a few times 😒 BUT if your boots are a decade old and if they have any distinct issues it’s worth a try! I filed a claim on my 7 year old pair of Blundstones due to the rubber soles tearing and getting holes in them and they sent me an entirely new pair (of the same style) for free! I just had to provide photos and a proof of purchase, but the process was pretty painless. It looks like it’s really case by case but if you have the time it may be worth a try! I did a quick search on the internet archive and back in 2024 (which is when I filed my claim) the site said this. But as of today they changed it to this. SUSS as hell, but it feels like if yours are older, the older policy should apply! Anyway, your pair may just have normal wear and tear issues and this might be irrelevant, but if not I hope it can help!!!!

Danner Light Vintage Mountain Boots
•••
I recently picked these up from a local vintage store in Boston, and they’re now my second pair of Danners. Most people reach for Timbs or UGGs in the winter, but I really like these because they’re surprisingly lightweight and have excellent traction thanks to the Vibram sole. I’m already looking forward to wearing them this winter. Along with the Blundstones I wear throughout the fall, these have quickly become one of my go-to pairs of boots. I’ve also added an eBay link where you can find similar pairs.
