Upstate MN, Grand Marais, MN: Kristofer alone is worth the trip, but the whole store is a delightful mix of beautiful housewares and gorgeous clothing.  Always a must when we go up north! (Sorry, I just noticed you’re looking for Duluth - this store is 2 hrs north, in case you feel like a drive)

nw smokehaus: No joke, I dream about the nws salad, at a shockingly aggressively low price ($13!!!) too. Their sandwiches are wonderful.

Alpine Slide at Lutsen Mountain: You have to ride a chairlift to the top of the slide, which I think is scary because I am a baby. BUT! The slide is worth it. You can see Lake Superior as you go down, plus you’re dodging droopy wildflowers the whole way.
