If you time it right, you can set up a grocery delivery from this store directly to your boat in the marina. Unfortunately for us, their delivery person was out until Monday which meant carrying heavy bags from the store back to the very tip of the marina, a task I would feel in my arms later that evening and probably for days yo come. Turns out two cases of water, five bottles of champagne and a humans weight in cheese and meats is a lot for two people to carry and neigh a dock carts to be found.
Worth it.
Don’t rush this process, it was a great joy to wander down the isles picking out tins of fish and marveling at the cheese selections.
Speaking of cheese, there are a few shops on the way to this market you’ll want to allow time for. A butcher shop for cured meats and a cheese shop you may never want to leave.
We brought from home some reusable cloth shoppers and I wish I had brought a few more with the thick straps as it’s always farther from the bodega once you’re laden with wine and cheese.
