Folks who wear flats with bare feet: how do you stop your shoes from getting smelly? I have new shoes that I adore, and I want to treat them right from day one!

Let the interior dry properly before putting them back away into a closet or a box

Thank you! I store them on a little rack that lets them air; not sure if there's anything else I can do to improve the airing-out process.
