using your free time to help a bird in need

inside this box was an extremely cute black and white warbler who had an unfortunate window collision at my office. she got to go on her first ever car ride with me to the Toronto Wildlife Center for rehabilitation.

fall migration is a big journey for many species, but they don’t always make it to their destination. window strikes play a big role in declining bird populations.

from now until the end of September, keep an eye out for injured birds on the ground near office buildings with glass windows. if you can spare the time, a phone call to a local rehabber could save a life!
