Urea Cream for Ingrown Hairs (and toenails!)

My battle with ingrowns was not pretty. I tried everything to help my bikini line, from the usual suspects (hello, Tend Skin) to bougie products from Fur and Soft Services. I tried homemade 100% salicylic acid aspirin masks, and heavy-duty tools made for guys with ingrown beards. I tried all the hair removal techniques that claim to put an end to them. Everything changed when I discovered urea cream. Urea is a keratolytic. It dissolves and loosens dead skin, thereby freeing the trapped hair underneath. It’s surprisingly gentle, yet really works for both prevention and treatment of ingrown hairs. (It’s also great for preventing ingrown toenails——and for pedicure-like improvement of the soles of your feet.)
