Please tell me your favorite poem? The one you come back to, think about, can’t ever let go of.

“Prufrock” provided a profound opening to what became my deep appreciation and enjoyment of the wealth of Modernist poetry and literature.

My readings and research of Eliot’s literary efforts only strengthened and solidified my respect for him as one of the greats who ushered in the Modernist Age of literature.

One of my siblings posited that Pound wrote “Prufrock” as well as several other poems attributed to Eliot. Pound authored either all of Eliot’s eorks—or none.

I posit None.

A poetry professor had us memorize this poem and there are still parts that I know my heart to this day. Some real beauty here.

I think a convincing argument can be made that this and The Waste Land are the greatest poems ever written in English, but I’m not objective when it comes to Eliot (my favorite poet). And I don’t believe Pound wrote any of his poems.
