Buy the Britannica Book of the Year From the Year You Were Born

Shameless Britannica plug (though it’s not like we make money when you buy old editions off eBay): Get yourself a copy of the Book of the Year for the year you were born so you can discover what sort of world you entered into. Was it a hellscape? (Probably.) Was it a time of great compassion and equality, when the governments of the world worked together for the common good? (Unlikely, but possible!) As a heads up, you want the yearbook dated the year after you were born, so if you were born in 1982, you want the 1983 Book of the Year.
