The Shadowhunter Chronicles

Cassandra Clare’s Shadowhunter world brings angels, demons, vampires, werewolves, and fae together in such a character-driven way. Each series brings new challenges and new battles to the different cast of characters. But what I love best is seeing past characters show up and the family histories evolve throughout each book. Plus the romance elements do a great job of elevating the stakes in each series and bring a nice balance overall. There are currently 4 series and several collections of short stories. The 5th and final series starts this year.

The Infernal Devices series is my favorite in the collection. Will, Jem, and Tessa have arguably the best love triangle I’ve ever read. I would do anything for those three. And the epilogue is one of only a few that made me sob uncontrollably (not an easy feat).
