No band around my belly was a selling point of this carrier. Just turned my kid into a backpack. Started using this carrier in 2022. Made a solo trip through airports a breeze and from there we have used it on so many adventures. I once wore my friend’s very big 5 year old. It is still in play and I am using it with my 1 year old. Air travel to mountains treks it’s put in a ton of work.
