Katie Crutchfield’s music has been a part of my life since maybe 2013 when my brother introduced me to songs off of American Weekend. There is something about her music that has woven its way across my life since then, and I never feel like I’ve outgrown it.

Her two most recent albums, Saint Cloud and Tigers Blood, are incredible — there’s a maturity and an evolution within them, but it’s all Katie’s voice. I’ve watched her “NPR Tiny Desks” and cried. I’ve seen her in a Boston theater, and in the grass at the Mass Museum of Contemporary Art in the Berkshires.
