Sea of Poppies: A Novel (Amitav Ghosh)

incredible historical fiction from one of the best out there. this one is about the british east india company, bengal, poppy and opium, zoology and botany, etc. FANTASTIC and part of a series! river of smoke is amazing too. i’m holding off on reading the third one since i read the first two back-to-back and it was ~1200 pages 😅
