sometimes they smile at you which is nice. 😌 in those moments i will usually nod and whisper hello in passing

What’s awesome is if you do this dogs will come up to you on their own and then you get to act innocent about it to their owners. Like sorry I guess he really wanted me to pet him!!

I often recognize the dogs (and not their owners) bc I meet them when they’re with their dog sitter / walkers. The owners always look a little confused to why their dog and I are pals.
