A reminder that she is brave and strong

When a friend of mine recently had surgery, I mailed her this little tiger pin as a reminder that she is brave and strong. Surgery is scary, and healing is hard work.

Months later when I had to my own surgery to go through, she sent me a tiger pin, too. I put it on the bag I brought with me to the hospital—and it buoyed my spirit.
