“O” California Olive Oil: Originally has this at Terrapin Creek (Michelin-rated restaurant in Bodega Bay on the Sonoma Coast in CA) for dipping with their homemade bread and am now a convert. Silky and bright.

fat gold: California grown and pressed! The lovely folks at fat gold are doing everything right: stellar products, artful packaging, fun little missives about their process, great recipes, etc etc.

Masseria Estate Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil: While my go-to extra virgin olive oil for cooking is Frankie’s 457, Masseria Estate is an absolute must for salads and other instances where the taste is critical.

There’s a lot of fronting when it comes to extra virgin olive oil, but the undisputed fact is that the best (i.e., tastiest and healthiest) such oil is pressed from Sicilian olives.

Forget Flamingo Estate, Brightland, Graza, etc. Those are all marketing-driven brands, not product-driven.
