This is a very strange book in the best ways. From the back cover, a story about snails, the Ukranian mail order bride industry, and the Ukrainian war sounds like there’s no possible way these things can all go together, yet they do. The story twists and turns, and there are some very visual scenes which will stick with me. I had never really thought about snails before this book, and now I will never forget them.
