I love art, and I've always leaned towards the maximalist design of museums. This museum is free and has thousands of art pieces in a single building. The museum is interactive, with many stories and hidden architectural features that the owner, Sir John Sloane, installed to maximise the number of art pieces within this house as a way for his students to study form and the fundamental skills of drawing. I enjoyed exploring, photographing and talking with the museum staff. Highly recommend for art lovers.

“Step inside an eccentric architect’s home and living Pinterest board. Preserved exactly how it was in the 1800’s. A sarcophagus and incredible art collection were among our favorite spots in the museum. And! It’s free :)”

“Maximalists unite! Free museum, but ask about the various tours and timed displays. There’s always something new to spot in this house.”
