The Love Hypothesis (the movie and this article about its adaptation)

In college, I took a class on adaptation and have been obsessed with them since. I love examining how popular plot-driven novels become great movies and how beautifully-written novels often fall flat on the screen. I particularly love when a screenwriter takes the core of the source idea and conveys it more powerfully than the original author.

There was a lot that struck me as unusual while watching The Love Hypothesis, an adaptation whose source material I had not read. Thankfully, Meeghan Reads has really great SEO and this came right up when I searched for how the two differed. Highly recommend this read after you watch the movie.
