I am just constantly in awe of all the stages that went into the creation of these tapestries--from the commissioning to the cartoons to the dyeing of the yarn to the weaving to finally their display. Textile is such a fragile material in the scheme of things and the fact that these--all of these!--have survived centuries will literally never fail to impress me.

“We all know her - she’s been used as a backdrop for tv shows and substack articles and ren faires - but the added lore and debated symbolism keep me so fascinated by this series (and the passing of ownership!)”
