start going on short walks when you can, morning or evening. find one small thing you enjoy (doesn’t have to be a hobby) and think of it or do it as often as you can. go window shopping or to a public garden or museum or anything that has lots to look at, and just look around. watch some old movies or foreign films. have cut flowers in your house somewhere you see them often. start a small collection of something. for me, when it feels like nothing matters, one small window into feeling that something does, is to pay attention to something seemingly very trivial, you do not even need to share these noticings with anyone else, they’re just for you, because part of feeling more alive inside is paying attention to what makes you feel anything at all. also, morning pages.

There was a conversation about hobbies happening on Culture Study, and someone mentioned that they didn't feel like they had a hobby, they just liked to walk around and notice things. And then someone else responded that their hobby WAS noticing! I love that.
Also, Rob Walker's newsletter is all about noticing and it's excellent. https://robwalker.substack.com/
