Joan's on Third

Why am I here every week? Something about it is familiar and easy and I love how the tables crowd the sidewalk on a highly trafficked unremarkable street. Home to my favorite pancakes in all of Los Angeles (blueberry!) and a top tier Arnold Palmer. That's a perfect order right there. At lunchtime it's me and my giant salad in a metal bowl, side of mac n cheese, and an AP. If I'm hungover (sorry) I'm getting a tuna melt or going halvsies with someone on the short rib sandwich and Chinese Chicken Salad, and of course an Arnold Palmer of my own.

Joan’s has been around for like 30 years now on third street. My mom makes fun of me for how much I like it - I guess because it’s kinda expensive? It’s dope and I won’t be stopped from coming here all the time when I’m home. Their chinese chicken salad is God-tier, gotta be the best in LA.
