Conversation with Amy Sillman

A wonderful and formative teacher of mine, Nick Lowe, first introduced me to Amy Sillman's hour long fantastic and brilliant lecture on drawing. He played the “drawing operations” list from this talk in my Beginning Drawing class during my first year at UCLA. Lucky for me, the two of them share an incredibly expansive and thoughtful approach to both drawing and teaching. If you enjoy this, I recommend her book Faux Pas. She has so much to say, we are so lucky to exist in her timeline! Thank god for her and people like her.
