Dog Day Afternoon

Hands down one of my favorite films of all time. The script and direction by Sidney Lumet are perfection. Pacino is relentless and compelling, and gives it all to this story. Amazing ensemble cast, those accents. The Brooklynized Stockholm Syndrome of bank robberies.

“This movie may be 1970s Al Pacino, but it's not what you think. (Or, it's not what I thought it would be, and I mean that with the highest of compliments.) Think funny, think progressive, think...relatable?”
