Yes! I used to do this as a server. If knew they had been there before, I would say it was my birthday. I was a terrible server.

Once I was accidentally sitting in the wrong seat on an airplane (flew standby, didn't select the seats). When the man whose seat I was in asked me to move, I said "sorry it's my first day on earth." That charmed the pants out of that guy so much he asked me out. I am married so sorry to that man, but I can attest that saying it is your first day in any scenario is effective!!
