The tablet that has made editing book length manuscripts less painful for me. Working in track changes was killing my eyes because it was hours of staring at the screen and way too easy to get distracted. Writing on paper required me to carry hundreds of pages around with me everywhere (and not lose them or stain them irreparably—harder than you might think). An iPad was portable but still had the screen problem. I wanted something like my kindle (a backlit screen) that I could write on, preferably without access to the internet, so it only had one purpose. Exporting is not always as smooth as I’d like it to be, but nothing is perfect. This is pretty damn good if you are regularly making copious notes on long files. And now I’ve started to use it as a notebook too. The feel is perfectly paper like.

“I'm a bit of an e-ink addict and I used to have a lot of devices but always come back to the Remarkable. It's just such simple UI that you can just start and write. I love it's integration with the desktop app— you can type on the computer, mark it up on the paper tablet and it keeps those marks associated with the typed text!! I've never seen that before! Always come back to this device.”
