Floriole Cafe and Bakery: Stop by Floriole for a coffee and pastry (or other sweet/savory treat - they’re all amazing!) and while you’re over there, pop by Sweet Many B’s and get dessert for later!

Lincoln Park Zoo is great to stroll through. Free admission and even a nice way to walk through Lincoln Park.

Well you’re in a great spot.: Highly highly suggest making time on Saturday morning to get to the Green City Market (just south of the zoo) - get there early or be prepared to be overwhelmed at just how many people go. Take a walk through South Pond / any of the parks. On the 4th go to the lake front via Fullerton. Sit on the concrete like the rest of us. Bring sparklers, drinks, a blanket, etc. There is absolutely no need to go into downtown that day or to navy pier. Maybe Friday go to Kingston Mines. There really is nothing you can do wrong as far as food goes. But please, get out into the parks! You will be so glad you did.

Amitabul: Korean temple food in a relaxed environment; good for big groups and kids too. I love their soup when I’m sick but it’s lovely anytime really.
