What needles should I get? Going to a class next week and they said to bring US8 and a worsted weight yarn. Would love your advice!

Oo that will be so fun!! US8 is a great starter size! Just straight needles will be perfect. If you get super into it, you might want to invest in an interchangeable circular needle set. I now knit everything on circular as it’s much easier to transport & change out sizes!

OK, gonna go classic wood from the thrift store. Hopefully I do get into it and I'm decent. Can't wait.

Wood for sure! I still knit with wood after years. Metal was too slippery for me, but if you tend to knit very tightly it’s a good option later on
