Eurybia divaricata (White Wood Aster)

White wood aster, a super-tough annual with huge clouds of white flowers in fall. Pennsylvania sedge (Carex pensylvanica) also great for building waves of low grasses, tough and doesn’t need much water to thrive and get going. Any of the native carexes will do.
