Waterwalker (1984)
Recommended by Lily
Free to stream on the National Film Board of Canada site: Waterwalker is a feature-length 1984 documentary following naturalist Bill Mason on his journey by canoe into the Ontario wilderness. He paints along the way, wonders about god, and spends a lot of time in his canoe. Breathtaking, odd, magical, 10/10.

“The National Film Board of Canada has amazing free films! This is one of my favorites recently. It has me eager to go off grid for a chunk of time.”
