This is the answer. Even when I don’t agree with him, he pushes me deeper into my own thought. I really respect how he integrates a wide array of contemplative traditions (including his own Catholic faith) across his work—it forces a reader to slow down and take a contemplative approach toward understanding what’s on and beyond the page.
