did you know that with great sourdough you can actually let it go stale, soak it under the faucet, and RE-BAKE IT? Spray it with the nozzle or run it under the faucet, then pop it in a 350 deg oven for a bit. Keep an eye on it, but I've actually never burned it - like baking fresh bread, you can smell it and it reminds your brain to grab it before it gets too far.

I ask the bakery where I get my favorite sourdough to pre-slice the bread, so I can go ahead and throw it all in the freezer when I get home. It’s so easy to grab a frozen slice to toast that way. Cutting frozen bread can be so hard (literally)!

That’s smart!! I’ve considered it but I want some of it to stay fresh. But maybe I can ask them to pre-slice half…
