RAISING HARE, CHLOE DALTON, 2024
Recommended by Good Thing Going by Lena Dunham
Like something from The Golden Compass, where humans are protected by their animal counterparts, Chloe Dalton’s book about raising a wild hare is more than just the tale of an unlikely bond- it’s a meditation on our interconnectedness with the natural world.
(Side note: I am so jealous- bottle feeding an uppity wild rabbit is some Disney princess shit.)

I read this book in one sitting. Such a page turner, and I was happy I didn’t have to cry!

I loved this book so much, too! and yes the hare showed HER how to raise it, in a way, right? (Well, aside from those calls to her naturalist friend). Just beautiful.
