Does anyone remember Kate’s Paperie in Soho? I miss it so much. My childhood respite from all fears. That’s where I discovered Le Pen, a pen that removes all resistance. Never again will you feel a block between your brain and your hand with this smooth delicious utensil. An issue I have is that I always buy 20 and then enthusiastically give them away until I’m writing with someone’s shitty ballpoint. It’s time to re-up. An investment in myself!

My decades long favorite as well, I discovered them in an art store but I remember I found them in a party supply store 3 blocks from my house, they had so many colors and in my memory they were .99 ¢. The smallest luxury for a bad day

Kate’s! I lived on Sullivan St and would wander in to lust over colored cardstock and pens. It was such an aspirational experience as a very broke 22 year old!

My dark gray Le Pen is a favorite! It's a gentle color and writes softly. I didn't love it immediately, but it grew on me the more I used it.
