For about a year before I was diagnosed with ovarian cancer, my skin was going absolutely crazy. My skin barrier was disrupted from products I had been using, I could not seem to get it back to normal. Every time I got my hair colored, I would break out in a rash, all over my neck and chest, and my face was constantly inflamed and reactive. At the time I treated it like a skin problem I tried to repair my skin barrier and I blamed hormones, menopause, allergies, and hair color, basically everything except what might have actually been going on inside my body. Now that I'm on the other side of treatment, I can really see that my body was trying to tell me something. I'm not saying my skin problems were a symptom of ovarian cancer, but I do believe that my body was having a really hard time processing
"normal" daily toxins.
