Looking (HBO)

In the age of Heated Rivalry hysteria, I can’t help but harken back to HBO’s excellent (superior) 2014 series LOOKING. With national hero Jonathan Groff as the doe-eyed lead, the series follows a juicy love triangle between Groff, his British bad boy boss (Russell Tovey) and a soulfully sexy hairdresser/dreamer (Raul Castillo). Tensions mount, mistakes are made, and the characters embody a willfully joyful expression of libidinous youth. Consume with pleasure.
