Accepting your Ls with grace

All rich and adventurous lives have Great Failures, but I’m talking about the thousands of stumbles, flops, and sideswipes along the way. Sometimes Ls are necessary to our growth, but more often than not they are just an unlucky pull on the cosmic slot machine— a surprise bill, a flubbed conversation, a marinara stain on your shirt etc. Nobody likes losing, but slipping on a banana peel is part of the bargain. Scream, cry, dissect the unfairness with a friend and then keep it pushing. The experience of being humbled and disappointed gives you something in common with everybody else that ever lived.
