What is your favorite weather app?

CARROT Weather: Unfortunately the best weather app for me no longer exists, because it was Weather Line, and it was perfect. Then someone bought it and then that someone shut it down and four years later I'm still kinda sad about that.

CARROT Weather ended up being my replacement of choice mainly because it's so thoroughly customizable that after some fiddling, I was able to get something that approximates what I really want—namely, Weather Line. (There are apps that do a similar presentation, like Mercury Weather, but for various reasons none of them are quite what I want.)

All that said, if you want your weather app to also be a little goofy, one of CARROT's defining features other than its customizability is that it will also make jokes based on a personality that can be configured from "Professional" up to "Homicidal" and "Overkill" (all of which can be turned off too). And the creator has a deep commitment to going hilariously overboard—to give one example, for the app's 10th anniversary, he wrote and recorded a complete musical and stuck it in one of the app tabs (15 songs total, the first of which is "What the Eff Is This?"). I can't help but admire that.

Weather Underground: Omg this app is it. It was recommended to us by one of our wedding vendors and uses local satellites. The day of our wedding it poured almost all day, but thanks to Weather Underground we accurately predicted to the minute when the rain would stop which allowed us to have our ceremony outside!
