Step 7: Encourage the curls and then STOP touching them

From here I take my hair out of the towel and immediately begin to take small sections and wrap them around a finger or two, to encourage the natural curl shape. I re-wet my hair as I go if it’s getting too dry to work with, and focus most on the curls around my face. When I’m done with this process, it’s pencils down! No touching the hair as it dries — that’s what keeps things from getting frizzy. Only once my hair is FULLY dry will I rake my fingers through the tighter curls to make them a bit looser and wavier. And that concludes my process!
