IDK I see Americans wax lyrical over Lola's Blankets or whatever and respectfully I can't fuck with that. My mom and grandfather bought me this blanket for college 20 years ago. It's 100% silk, warm when you need it to be, cold when you want it to be, weighted without shitty plastic beading and literally every housemate I've ever lived with has tried to steal it from me. It's perfect for the couch, perfect for sleeping on top of the bed when you're not the type of sick that means you gotta go under the covers yet (IYKYK) and I suspect I'll have it for the rest of my life.

I think that’s why everyone tried to steal it. Worth it’s weight in gold I guess lol! That is one lucky blanket owner. If I was going to college and my mom and grandpa were gonna go in on one extravagant present together, and then decided on The World’s Greatest blanket, I would have felt very seen because of how much time I spend in the bed. Twenty years for one blanket is $50 a year (or 20 west elm blankets). I had to return the west elm chenille one because it said it was machine washable but it totally is not.

Lucky you. I bought 3 and washed them on delicate one at a time and they all came out with so many pulls I couldnt deal, so I returned them. The guy at the store said it had been an issue. Maybe theyve improved the construction and I should try again. 🤷🏻‍♀️ when did you buy yours? I bought these Dec of 2025.

Alas, yes, the price is insane. Not to be that old lady but it was a lot cheaper when it was bought for me, and the exchange rate was way more favourable.
