Christina's Homemade Ice Cream
•••
If you go into Cambridge I’ve been thinking about Christina’s so much! It’s right next to/owned by the same people as a spice shop, and they have lots of delicious unusual flavors as well as more classic ones. I love the brown sugar ice cream, it kind of tastes somewhere between caramel and coffee to me. And there’s lots of lovely stuff in Inman Square.

incredible breakfast, lovely sandos, great vibes, absolutely worth your time if you’re near the area. a sort of awkward but reasonable walk from porter but a pleasant straight shot if you’re walking around fresh pond for some reason. don’t go if you’re in a hurry though.

Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum
•••
The Gardener museum is a lovely space that feels like an Italian palazzo. All of the art is displayed in what used to be Isabella’s home—it’s a fun haphazard journey through the collection and the garden is beautiful. Also the site of the 1990 art heist, you can see empty frames where the art was sadly never recovered.

Boston has some beautiful walks - the Frederick Law Olmsted designed parks and parkways are worth exploring. A little bit of nature in your urban vacation.

The Ware Collection of Blaschka glass flower models at the Harvard Peabody Museum: Boston
•••
One of my favorite things to do in Boston is to visit the glass flowers at the Peabody Museum. From 1886 through 1936, Leopold and Rudolf Blaschka made 4,300 astonishingly lifelike glass models of 780 plant species, all housed in lovely old wooden vitrines.
