L.L.Bean School Backpacks
$39.95
The 17L junior size won’t overwhelm the littles but is big enough for schoolchildren up to, say, 3rd grade. The front pocket has a bunch of mini-pockets, which they love for hoarding accumulated treasures. Colors — including ice blue, hot pink, and tomato red — approved by my two opinionated daughters.

we have this and love it AND most important it does not tear under the weight of so.many.keychains.
I bought this same exact backpack last month and ironed "sylvie" on it in pink Hot Dang Press letters. :D

“Feels like tradition at this point! I had the same llbean backpack for most of my school life as well as the lunchbox - nothing better”

“My 6 year old uses an LL bean backpack and it held up so well in Kinder that we will be using it again in 1st grade. We personalized it with his first name which he loves. I love seeing it in a sea of Mario and Pokemon backpacks (don’t worry I let him wear a ton of character stuff I just can’t do a daily backpack like that!)”
