Remembering that elderly women are ‘just girls’ too
Invite them to the parties (they may not go but will be thrilled you asked), compliment their cute outfits or hair-do’s, ask them what they’re doing on the weekend, have a little gossip with them, tell them they deserve a little treat. After all, they’re just girls and deserve to have fun too!

stop it this is so sweet! i think about this often. i love intergenerational friendships. the older i get, the more i realise i'm the same lil kid inside, just ageing on the outside <3
And soon...so soon, we will all be elderly women, although we will not always realize it, thinking, "but I still feel 30" until we take the slightest little fall and break a metatarsal.
