clean up 5 small things

What simple, little things do you do for future you? I remember when I was in middle school, whenever I had a little extra time I’d look ahead at my homework and try to chip away at some of it. I’d think to myself “you’re welcome, future Maura—you’re going to be so happy to have that checked off!” Now that I’m responsible for multiple human beings, not just my future self, little joys like this have fallen by the wayside. What are your under-10-minute gifts for future you?

Before I go to bed or leave the house in the morning I do 5 little things to make my space tidier. Small little things- push in kitchen table chairs, throw dirty dishes in the dishwasher, fold up blankets on the couch, straighten towels in the bathroom…Super quick and low effort, shouldn’t take more than a couple minutes but makes things that much more peaceful when you come back to them the next morning/later in the day.
